Our lab studies reproduction and development of mammals, especially in the light of evolution. Our main research themes include sexual development (especially in relation to disease), early embryonic development and marsupials.
Current projects in our lab include:
- hypospadias – a defect in the position of the urethral opening of the penis
- gonadal developmental – mechanisms that control differentiation of the testes and ovaries
- reproduction and development of the fat-tailed dunnart
- comparative genomics of the extinct thylacine (Tasmanian tiger)
